Bio

Eleanna Pehrson (2003), born in Dandenong, Australia, is an American mixed-media painter whose practice extends into fiber arts, wearable art, sculpture, and bookmaking. Her work is deeply informed by her unique upbringing as the child of missionaries in the tropical landscape of Papua New Guinea, which she called “home” for the first 18 years of her life. With roots in primarily being a self-taught artist, she continues this path today through ongoing experimentation and exploration of new mediums in her daily practice. She currently resides in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota, where she completed a Bachelor of Arts in Art Therapy at Bethel University. During her time at college, Pehrson displayed work in three consecutive student juried exhibitions, Raspberry Monday (2024, 2025, 2026), a Salon des Refusés (2025), and at the Art-A-Whirl Bethel Student Showcase (2025) in Northeast Minneapolis. Additionally, her poem, “Sadness Doll,” was published in the literary magazine Coeval (2025). She has also found her place in entrepreneurial settings. Starting from when she was a teenager, Pehrson has sold numerous works at markets, on various online platforms, and completed commission work for individuals.
